MEMBERS BENEFITS

Hostelling International is a membership organization; members receive many benefits in addition to staying in HI hostels – for example special savings or discounts. You should join before you leave home. Non-members may be allowed to stay at some hostels, but a supplement will apply.

Hostelling International has negotiated a vast range of discounts around the world covering everything from reduced-price coach tickets, to special deals in shops and entertainment venues. These are all listed in HI Savings.

HI MEMBERSHIP CARD

As IYHF is a membership organization, a membership card is required in order to stay at Hostelling International Hostels worldwide. You are able to purchase the membership card from your home country.

• Minimum Age : 18 & above

• NRIC or Passport

• Validity Period: One year from date of issue

Your membership is also the key to thousands of discounts on travel, activities and attractions. As you travel, don’t forget to ask at the hostel for local discounts available. You might just save a few bucks along the way!

WHO CAN JOIN THE ASSOCIATION

Originally created to help young people of limited means to experience the world, hostels are now at the heart of international tourism for a wide age group. Today’s hostellers are just as likely to be in their thirties, as to arrive alone on foot with a backpack, or be part of a school group.

The hostel network enables all people of differing nationalities, cultures and social background to meet, share experiences, learn about each other and the surroundings. You’ll meet great people and have loads of fun!

Drop by any of the HI participating outlets to apply for your HI Membership Card or print a copy of HI Singapore Membership application form, complete and mail it to us.
